Thank you for the informative video.

  2. I stream all tv shows through VPN, so not applicable.

  3. My TV is not even connected to the internet. Screw that noise

Am I the only one who doesn’t mind targeted ads? I’d rather see something more relevant than to waste time putting a fight for privacy. Think about Apple, Google, etc. Should they already know everything about everyone.

I see what you mean, but I don’t like the excessive advertising that I am exposed to every day, let alone ones targeted towards my particular interests.

@Kathryn Mercier What’s the alternative though? I don’t like that IG has an ad every 3 posts, but I’d be more annoyed with irrelevant ads. I also never click on the ads so its not like they are tempting me to buy, I just ignore them.

I actually do like some of them. I’m informed of a price drop or different but better product I search for. I’m disgusted by the ads becoming “normal”. People use to hate ads, now its robocalls. Every creator of something claims they need the ads for maintenance. Whether it be for preforming updates or whatever. It’s just greed! CR does the same thing. Propaganda is still

@Buttercookie Cinnamini think we’re at the end of capitalism if you know what I mean, where greed overrides everything. It’s interesting.

If you care about your privacy, always cover any cameras on your devices with a piece of gaffers tape. And for crying out loud, don’t use Ring devices.

  8. Setup your TV, connect to the internet (wired or wireless) check for any Firmware updates, disconnect from the internet. Use a 3rd party device (FireTV, Roku, Chromecast, etc.) for any streaming or casting.
