Add more protected bicycle lanes to encourage more people to ride bicycles to work or school or for fun.
People and cars need to be separated from each other. Children should be able to ride to school safely on protected bike lanes. If cities in Europe can do it we need to do it in the US.
The solution? Bernie Sanders, for a start.
I propose we put an end to undivided rural highways. I’d like to see all undivided rural highways be separated with barriers and widened slightly to accommodate them. Instead of using the oncoming lane for passing, we should have a designated passing lane, even if for short distances at a time. It’s just crazy to me that the roads we use for high speed opposing traffic are placed as close to each other as possible with nothing to separate them and this is considered normal. It truly is the least safe solution.
