Think anchoring all taller, heavy furniture to the wall is a better solution as most of us live in earthquake prone areas.
This just adds to furniture costs and ignores a bigger problem.
How about requiring people to strap tall pieces of firniture to the wall instead? Most of us live in areas vulnerable to earthquakes. This would prevent a lot of catastrophes in a seismic event. This is applied at the wrong place…
