We bought the all-new Cadillac CT5 for our test program and share our first impressions. Find out if we think this sports sedan has what it takes to challenge European competitors. Plus, we recap Super Bowl car ads that caught our attention and answer audience questions about traveling with pets and how vehicles earn a CR Recommendation.

16:42 is clearly the highlight of this video.
Andrew Chane just gave me life
deer in head lights look
Hahahahahhahaha
23:27 “electric cars have a high depreciation, and can be had for nearly 75% off the original APR” – I think they mean MSRP. Used cars tends to have higher interest rates.

8:49 When asked “how does the 11,500 pound-feet of torque compare to that of a diesel F250”, I thought you guys were going to take the opportunity to mention that EV torque is measured at the wheels while ICE torque is traditionally measured at the crank. To take ICE torque numbers to compare with EV’s you would have to know the gearing (transmission and final drive ratio) to multiply the crank torque for equivalency.
I’m not sure if they’re even aware of this, to be honest.
Agree, but, on an EV with a one speed transmission, a wheel torque measurement is more viable, than on an ICE car, where wheel torque changes with every gear shift.
I have a 2016 Q5 TDI and just had the emissions fix done, it drives fine and thereβs hardly any difference.
I LOVE the look of the Caddy…would you agree it is competitive with BNW 3 ?
I canβt believe Cadillac continues to squander its lead in autonomous driving by not putting Super Cruise in its products.
SuperCruise is available on the Escalade now
I think about this every day. Not just Cadillac, super cruise should be in every car gm builds
It is coming. They plan to add it to the full lineup in the next couple of years. Then expand it to other product lines… most likely Buick, then GMC and Chevrolet. First up, the CT4, CT5, and Escalade in 2021 with new upgrades the CT6 does not support: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a30681241/cadillac-escalade-ct4-ct5-2021-super-cruise/
Smart park is good for single car garages.
Sure! Go ahead and take that really tight parking spot and actually piss off some people! Yeah…That sounds like fun…BTW…$50K plus for a 2 liter? OK then…Why do I suspect that Cadillac is holding the wrong hand at this poker face game?
Honda Accord in that C pillar notch, any one?
The torque numbers aren’t even being measured the same way so you cannot compare.
GV80 is an attractive utility vehicle
CT5 is a nice car, but nothing inspirational. Lacks bling. See the Genesis G90 for comparison.
I could dice you rags 25 ways but that would be to easy. Stop hating on cars and telling half stories or I will expose you!
