  1. On our 2020 Forester, 1 of the 1st things I bought for it was an Auto Stop Start button that Default keeps that function turned off. All the stopping & starting is annoying & causes wear to the engine & starter. No thanks.

  2. Damn if I understood at the end if the stop/start function is good for the car or not! Just say it in a simple yes or no!

  3. I just test drove a 2024 Forester Wilderness trim the day before yesterday. It’s a very nice car. I hate the start stop feature regardless of what it is doing to the engine, it would annoy me to no end. If I bought the car I’d buy a “start stop eliminator” for the car so that I could turn it off and have it stay off. There’s a nice button to the left of the steering wheel and if you are okay with pushing that every time you drive the car then that works too. I predict that Subaru will get hybrid cars and the start stop will go away. I have a hybrid and you don’t notice the car starting, but in the Subaru the whole car shudders.
