    I see the benefits, however for someone who likes to keep their vehicles for a long time. Just more stuff to fail, that will require expensive dealer recalibrations to repair/replace.

      I agree… not to mention that power windows, power locks power, seats, automatic transmissions and fuel injection are all added things that will be expensive to fix…

      Wish they didn’t have to put all that stuff that breaks down in our cars..

    Will work great once integrated with social credit system to make sure the unpersoned population aren’t allowed to drive. Cool tech!

    well in if so, then time to leave your nanny state.

    the new nanny state is approved by CR!
    if you look away from the road for only a few seconds, the system starts yelling at you.
    oh, come on!!
    the dumbimng down pf america. the lowest skills now set the standard for everybody else.
    CR says it hates 1 handed driving, now loves the driver monitoring systems.

    what next? conversations taking to much time, requiring to much emotion instead of concentration??????/

    I hope this tech will actually prevent drivers from harming others on the road. With touchscreen infotainment, it almost makes these driver monitors a necessity but then again, they can just remove touch interfaces completely.
