Finally a mainstream car… not SUV, not EV
I know what you mean but SUVs and EVs ARE the mainstream now, not gas sedans.
An EV powertrain makes ANY car better.
We cant run away from companies shoving tablets and screens into their vehicles. The company doesn’t have to make buttons and they will still charge you more. Solution is simple, don’t purchase or lease a vehicle with a bad control scheme.
Wow $60,000 for a C class? Would a Lexus ES250 Luxury AWD would be a better choice with far better reliability, standard safety system, creature comfort, etc..?
Considering the ES 250’s lackluster powertrain, if you need AWD and you’re going to spend $60K on the Lexus lot an RX 350 AWD makes way more sense.
As far as I can tell, Mercedes is a lease-only proposition these days. And any Lexus would be a better value than this, especially over the long haul.
Or another car that they’ve loved, the Genesis G70 is a compact luxury car. I’d look there, first.
@TZ93 if I’m spending $60K in Lexus lineup me personally would get GX460 Premium with msrp ranging $59635 – $61330 listed nearby dealership to me.
@David M My buddy got G70 3.3T AWD. Even the color he got (it was some dark greenish colors) looks so damn awesome. They are coming really strong / a big challenge to luxury segment imo.
You are paying for a car that’s way better than what you get from a US made car. Tech, is aligning to a younger demographic as this is what they want
When I search online for C class per the VIN they seems to be made in USA. The 2018s were 55SWF4******, 2019s were 55SWF8******. I guess when you purchase you have to check if its US made (VIN 1, 4, or 5) or German made (VIN starts with W).
I have a Mazda CX-30 with 18″ low profile tires. When it comes time to get new tires/snow tires, I’m going with the 16″ wheels like the ones that come on the basic model of the CX-30. I like the vehicle quite a bit but Mazda has really gone too far with the low profile tires on all their new models.
60k c class. Ouch. This vehicle is irrelevant. I’ll say it. If I were spending 60k on a sedan. It’ll be a Tesla. The luxury segment is currently being redefined. Numbers count (🤣) and customers will vote with their wallets as to what constitutes modern luxury. I’m willing to bet it won’t have an engine inside of it.
Is that really how & where the front plate is supposed to be mounted? Yikes.
The C-300 C-Class base model cost is $43,550 the 4-matic AWD is $45,550. The Mercedes has a MBUX voice control system which controls a lot of the systems that the buttons and knob use to do. Some of the features it controls are the radio stations and volume, heat/cool for car area and seats, panorama roof open/close, read/send text messages, sets colors for ambient lighting, controls navigation etc. There are
more commands that you can use with the (Hey Mercedes) feature. I will get a C-Class 4-matic with just
the 19 inch 5-spoke wheels about $ 47,700 which include price of paint.
