  1. VW should’ve gone more in with Hybrids. 😑

    • @Mabeylater293 | October 11, 2024 at 3:19 PM |

      Stop smoking the tailpipe

    • Meh, I would rather have an EV. I haven’t driven beyond the range of any EV on the market in years and when I have, I have not used my own vehicle anyway – who wants to put those kind of miles on a personal vehicle… depreciation and maintenance is a pain

  2. range way too low, kills it as an option

  3. I am REALLY hoping this is a good vehicle. I look forward to future updates…

I need a minivan – hate large SUVs so I am keeping on going with my old van but hoping a good EV van makes it to market….this might be the first swing at my desired product

That price. Feel free to price yourself out of the market VW. So disappointing they didn’t want to introduce a product that everyone could realistically think about owning. $60K for only 235 miles is beyond a no thank you. And that interior color is hideous. The same people that wanted the ugly Tesla truck just because they wanted to be first will be the people that buy this. Magic 8 ball says this model will no longer be available in 5 years, unless they make it a hybrid and lower the price 20K.

Look at that ridiculous price. $60k start

  6. I really want one, but won’t consider it until they’ve worked out the kinks (there are gonna be issues for the first few years) and increased the efficiency/range. Without Tesla’s supercharger network support, I wouldn’t want to drive this on a road trip, and I feel like road trips and car camping are EXACTLY what I’d want to do with this.

That infotainment/User Interface also looks really bad. You NEED a strong user interface and computer setup in new cars these days. Especially EVs.

I’m used to seeing pre production models with light, bright interior colors. Seeing this model with the dark browns and dark gray isn’t really appealing. Thank you, as always, for a common sense review.

When are these Manufacturers going to give us our monies worth. I am tired of being ripped off from all of them.

The original vw microbus was a hateful and unsafe vehicle. The new one is good looking and a poor value.

We waited since and before the buzz concept in 2017 and VW SQUANDERED IT.

  11. Taking the effort on the fun patterns on the seat plastic but not organizing your dashboard is modern car making in a nutshell. Love electric minivan. Clean it up a bit and lower the price a little and this could be a hit.

  12. @American_Energy | October 11, 2024 at 4:39 PM |

This would’ve sold well 3 years ago. Needs to be $20k less, or 400 miles of range with bi-directional charging to be competitive today 🤷🏻‍♂️

That step to get inside makes me think of the Chevy Astro/GMC Safari. They have a step like that.

  14. I hope one day VW modes away from it’s slider/haptic controls and the asinine 3 button window controls. I think this will sell well initially in small numbers as it is the only EV minivan and the only cool minivan. But with the range and the pricing, I’m not sure if it will be within reach of a lot of people.

  15. @frankcoffey | October 11, 2024 at 4:53 PM |

That concept looked amazing. It’s too bad that didn’t make it to the final product.

  16. half a decade later than promised, but good to know they’ve finally shipped… hopefully the offer colors more people will want. but for me, I haven’t forgotten or forgiven their diesel lies and won’t give VW any money. maybe some other company will see an opportunity to reimagine their minivans.

  17. Would really want this to have 300+ miles of range so it can be used for trips.

  18. @howlinhauler | October 11, 2024 at 6:19 PM |

they want have to worry about demand with that price, Esprinter is better and bigger.

  19. The Chademo connector you showed in the video is not compatible with the vehicle in the video. I know there are some OG Leaf owners out there but the sooner every Chademo connector is switched out with NACS the better we will all be.

That strap is ridiculously positioned and definitely not ergonomic. The 2025 Sienna has such a better, more usable set of handles for passengers of all heights to be able to get in.
