Meanwhile subaru failing in IIHS testing
Subaru — VERY COOL 😎
No, it’s because it’s INFINITELY CHEAPER for car makers to put controls onto a tablet–which only requires paying a software engineer to design the UI–versus having to physically design, test, construct, store, and replace / fix physical controls.
It’s cost savings for the manufacturer (that isn’t passed on to consumers) at the expensive of user experience / QOL, and ease of use and operation.
It is inferior design and a worse user experience marketed as “progress” / an upgrade.
In-car tablets are a pox on modern car design.
Physical controls are safer, faster and just easier to use
Under powered for 2025. I absolutely adore love and admire Subaru. One of the best value vehicles you can buy especially in a climate that has tough winters. I have owned three Subarus in my life and championed the Forester years to friends and family. However, with the speed people drive today and the aggressive driving on highways especially in larger cities with merges you need a vehicle with more power to get up to speed than you did even 5 years ago. And that said I am so disappointed that the new 2025 Subaru has less horsepower than the prior generation. I am so disappointed I will not be buying this new generation when my 2017 Subaru legacy v6 is ready to be traded. So I am looking at Toyota and Mazda now which makes me a little sad. Why Subaru why? I need a suv that is a little bigger than the Outback and I dislike the look of the Ascent which makes me the ideal buying for a forester. Can you please sell a wilderness option of the Forester with more horsepower in the future at least give us 200 hp.
